Volevamo fare qualcosa per la Palestina, ma è successo piuttosto il contrario. È stata la sofferenza di un popolo ad aiutare noi lidensi a uscire dagli steccati identitari. @fyrfli I do what little gaming I do on Debian Sid and/or Testing plus proprietary NVIDIA using Steam with main storage on an NFS drive (boy has that been an adventure), lgogdownloader to archive my GOG library and install things as I want, and a heavily modified itch io downloader for my itch library. You may also want to look at some of @atomicpoet recent posts that mention his tests with a few distributions in a gaming setup.

@las_lallero Io andavo a messa quando non avevo altra scelta ma non me n'è mai fregato niente nonostante il prete (mio padrino di battesimo e professore di teologia) fosse persona interessantissima e di cultura e non ho altro sacramento che il battesimo, ma solo perché per quello non avevo scelta. Quindi chiederei: ma a questo povero cristo gliene frega qualcosa?

But with all that said, if there's *anywhere* that there's a market for a hack-it-yourself laptop that's highly configurable, it's the fediverse!
And the original point of this thread wasn't "this is the best value for the price point". That's not an argument I'm making.
The point I argued is that we *need* hackable hardware in order to keep participatory computing alive, and MNT's offerings are the best bet we have.
And I fully, fully believe that much is true.
