I put together a cheesy and tomatoey casserole for my daughter's family before I drove to town to empty my compost buckets into her bins.
They were super excited to get a dinner delivery so no one has to cook tonight.
I never take it for granted when they are happy to see me because I know I wasn't always happy to see my parents drive up to my house.
I've worked hard to change that dynamic in our family. I will forever hope that we will continue to treat each other better than my parents generation treated each other.
While I was there I toured her garden.
I saw this two tone dahlia and got so excited. My daughter just said that it probably won't bloom like that again.
Heck, once is good for me.
Her dahlias are spectacular as usual.

@albertone Ah! Pensavo che i tedeschi vivessero nel futuro, in fatto di trasporti pubblici, ma effettivamente non son mai stato in Germania.
Io prendo il treno da più di 15 anni e come pendolare continuo a farlo per andare a Milano (lì in città non guiderei manco se mi pagassero).
Per tante altre situazioni, ho visto che l'auto mi fa arrivare meno stressato e costa pure meno. Cosa che non dovrebbe avere alcun senso, eppure...

@lritter this is how I set up the auxiliary set last december when my wife got covid and we were hiding on opposite sides of the house. it did a lot to make the isolation bearable for me
