Friendly reminder that "Raspberry Pi Cop Day" is just around on the corner (December 8th).
As is traditional, I will be preparing for Rasperry Pi Cop Day by not buying Raspberry Pi products ever again.
How do you celebrate?

it's weird how people have stopped giving any fucks about that. there's more Raspberry Pi shit in everything than ever before now. it really bothers me.

@burnitdown my most charitable interpretation is that at least some of them are using "raspberry pi" as a stand-in for "small computer"
Still, I've seen people boosting their blog posts and stuff like that, and I guess I just hope they never heard about it.

there are countless youtube videos where, yes, they are definitely talking about bespoke Raspberry Pi and not some similar product. it's very disappointing. i assume a lot of people are unaware but there are other tells that it's not even a concern.

I would love to see an org claim to be apolitical and then donate to anti-fascist causes at least once in my lifetime

@ansuz I wish!
On the upside, this never ever being the case makes it easier to identify Nazi sympathizers who are too much of a coward to admit they are.
