@GIMP Still waiting for the major UI improvements that would make it usable. 😞
-
@elaterite That it's unusable unless you have a PhD in Gimp Studies or something. Hard to explain: buttons everywhere, no clarity whatsoever, looks like the dashboard of an Airbus 380.

@elaterite I haven't found one I really like. I've used paint.net for years, but I just moved to Linux a few months ago, and I'm still looking for one I really like.
I know Pinta is supposed to be Linux's Paint.net but I don't find it that convenient. -
@andrybak I am in single window mode. Do you mean there's an option to make the UI even worse? Oh goodness...

At the time I switched, I recall noticing that community built FOSS apps were not as polished as commercial apps. I don't know if that is still the case? I do know that whenever I developed photos at home in Darktable, and took them to work to print on the large format printers, trying to use Adobe products to run the printers was always a nightmare because I wasn't familiar with their UI.

@David @elaterite maybe we should work with a university to offer qualifications in Airbus cockpit control design?

I know Pinta is supposed to be Linux's Paint.net but I don't find it that convenient.I am a satisfied GIMP user. But, if GIMP is not suitable for you, I think you should not force yourself to use it. Many other programs are available. Photoshop is one of them.
I think you should try Photoshop. You can purchase a subscription below.
