@diazona I don't think it is a shame that this happened to this woman. It appears that she is a very ordinary type of vexatious litigant, except that she is also being aided by ChatGPT.

I was thinking more along the lines of, whatever happened to her (possibly long ago) to put her in the frame of mind to pursue this case regardless of the legal merits, and to believe ChatGPT over actual lawyers, is a shame. But I'm definitely not trying to absolve her of responsibility for her actions and their consequences.

@mjd TBH I do not think OpenAI should be responsible. They're just providing a fancy random text generator to the public. And it's outright impossible to teach a random text generator to _not_ output a specific kind of text, as whatever you do, there is a way around it.
The woman should pay all costs, as per the usual "vexatious filings" or "frivolous lawsuits" standards.
Plus, the law in her state against practicing law without a license starts with "No person shall...". ChatGPT isn't a person.

So, the Guardians of Pedophiles (#GOP) really want to disenfranchise women. The #SAVE Act, if passed as written, will remove the right to vote from anyone who has changed their name.
Everyone in the country will be Unregistered To Vote, and will have to reregister, In Person (!) before the deadline for November elections. If you are a man, you will need a certified copy of your birth certificate. If you are a married woman, you will need certified copies of your birth certificate AND your marriage license. You will need to present those AND your ID at the polling place, every time you want to vote. Every time.
I think I’m gonna start a PAC that will pay the filing fee for every woman who wants to divorce her republican husband or needs to go to court to have her name changed back to birth name. Call it AuntieFa’s Matriarchy For The Future Fund. (We can workshop the name.)

@aeva @jalefkowit in a residential wood timbered thing, i think the recommendation is under your kitchen table if it is strong. whatever gets you away from glass is usually good too. your house getting picked up and whisked away isn’t really what you are trying to protect from, its cuts and bumps from flying debris

@aeva I am super out of practice with this but having lived in a mobile home in North Dakota for a while as a kid- during watch you need to check if the local shelter is open (in our case the trailer park manager's basement), crack open the windows and unplug unneeded electrical appliances and at warning if you could, go to the shelter, if not, sit in the bathtub. I have no idea these days if most of that was actually useful information.
