@switchingsoftware Seems broken for me too – not sure if it is related to the #IronFox 144.x releases or the new #CryptPad release.
@celenity @CryptPad You might want to take a look at this. Only getting script errors when loading/creating documents or timeouts.

We do not test CryptPad against IronFox, nor do anything specific in our source code to limit or block its usage. If it isn't working as expected we would suggest reporting it to its developers.

@cryptgoat that being said it's not uncommon that third-party web browsers, especially the ones with "security" customizations ends up breaking CryptPad.
We leverage proven web standards to build CryptPad. Many of them (web workers, shared workers, local storage, content security policies, iframes...) are required to make it work as intended.

@CryptPad @cryptgoat @switchingsoftware unclear what you mean by “third-party” web browser here - wouldn’t every web browser not operated by you be considered “third-party”?
also not sure why the “security” in quotes - we make a significant effort to meaningfully improve privacy and security for users, and i think we’re effective at doing that. our changes are carefully considered, and we do also go to a great extent to balance privacy and security with compatibility. in general, we go out of our way to fix issues with websites - i think we probably do more in that regard than most other browsers out there with similar goals tbh.

@celenity sorry for the confusion, by "third-party" we mean the ones we aren't able to test against CryptPad. We maintain a "Common issues" section in our documentation FAQ due to how often our users face issues with web browser customizations: https://docs.cryptpad.org/en/FAQ.html#common-issues

In ogni modo è una pianta che ha un valore inestimabile per la sua singolarità. L'altro fratello superstite, che sta in Piemonte, mi ha raccomandato di non farla fuori, dato che alcuni mesi fa avevo espiantato un mandarino, un clementine e un arancio per mettere delle piante di olivo. @NullTheFool i don't bother with the NC or ND variants, because they mostly just make trouble for regular well intended community members, CC-BY-SA is sufficient to discourage big corporations, and scammers aren't going to abide by the license anyway

Il giardino, molto trascurato e incasinato, è in comune con la mia casa e quella in cui abitava mia madre e un mio fratello, ma io non me ne sono mai occupato per vari motivi. Ma nell'ultimo anno e mezzo sono deceduti in successione mia moglie, mia madre e il mio fratello, quindi ho deciso di ridare vita e rigoglio a questo giardino. Ci sto lavorando dall'autunno del 2024 ma c'è parecchio lavoro da fare. Domani faccio una foto.

@NullTheFool i use Apache 2 for code because it is a permissive license that makes it clear that any contributions to the project are made available under the same license by default, thus avoiding the need to make contributors put it in writing.
for media, usually i pick whichever of CC0, CC-BY, CC-BY-SA best fits my intent for a given project.

@NullTheFool For free assets I’d just use one of the Creative Commons licenses. They offer a lot of options.
For code, I guess the question is permissive or copyleft? For a less common permissive license, there’s Apache. It’s like MIT/BSD but requires a more clarity on modifications and patents. Or for kind of an oddball, there’s the Artistic License 2.0, which has broad relicensing compatibility with GPL or similar copyleft licenses but different requirements on distribution.
