@GustavinoBevilacqua I wouldn't trust an AI recipe for that, but a human one...I would be eager!

Decades ago I had a home on the Alps, and according to the locals there were just two types of mushrooms: porcini (good) and everything else (not good).

@GustavinoBevilacqua @hosford42 I know of people (on a different part of the alps) who only trust themselves gathering porcini, because they are not experts on all types of available mushrooms and that's the ones that they can recognize
locals who call everything else not good sounds like they were trying to prevent other people from eating their mushrooms? :D

@valhalla @GustavinoBevilacqua That crossed my mind, too. lol I will eat any kind of mushroom *from a store*, but I wouldn't trust any I picked myself, not even remotely.

@hosford42 @GustavinoBevilacqua as a semi-local I have been taught how to recognize porcini, but it was some time ago (and I'm not good at spotting mushrooms anyway), so, yeah, I'd pass too
(we do have a service where you can bring the mushrooms you have collected and they check if they are good, but that would require me to be good at spotting them. and if I was, but now I would probably be good enough at recognizing porcini, so, whatever)

@valhalla @GustavinoBevilacqua That is really cool! I wish there was something like that in my area. I like to go hiking (when my health is better) and I seem to be good at spotting them, just not identifying them.

@hosford42 @GustavinoBevilacqua it's from the healthcare system, I guess it's cheaper than treating people who poison themselves with bad mushrooms.
