Does anyone know of schools using something other than #GoogleClassroom for schools and education?

@leanderlindahl@social.folkdata.se @_elena@mastodon.social # LibreClassroom sounds good, it doesn't seem like a thing that would need to be EU only (as long as solutions are able to be hosted in the EU). I'd be interested in this as well.
@_elena@mastodon.social @leanderlindahl@social.folkdata.se To get the ball rolling, NextCloud do offer an education product (including a hosted option) and are based in Germany, I believe. That said, I haven't used it and I don't know where the hosting happens. nextcloud.com/education/

@_elena@mastodon.social @leanderlindahl@social.folkdata.se (for context, NextCloud can be self hosted and is open source but the fact they offered paid for enterprise options to schools and universities suggests they think it can take the place of classroom in at least some ways)

Does anyone know of schools using something other than #GoogleClassroom for schools and education? Maybe in #SchleswigHolstein Maybe in #Österreich? (you seem progressive in digital sovereignty). Or maybe my next door neighbour #Danmark?
It'd be nice to have some exchange of experiences between the board of education for the municipality of #Lund (we need to learn) and some other city.
If there is one? 😀
#DigitalSovereignty #DigitaleSuveränitätI'm looking for schools and disticts rather than software at this point, so that I can say "Look at these guys and what they're doing – let's try and do the same"

@leanderlindahl Sounds like you're looking for a Learning Management System (LMS). There is an open source one which is actively used in The Netherlands, named Canvas.
Ed-tech company Instructure (Canvas) is owned by investment company KKR & Co. KKR invests in weapons and fossil fuels like liquefied natural gas. Instructure collaborates with OpenAI. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says Trump is a "strong leader" and "will be incredible for the country in many ways".
