New Opus!!
Music Man for Africa--a portrait of Leo Sarksisian who produced an enormously popular African music show for the Voice of America covering the continent from Liberia starting in 1965. Leo was a self-taught ethnomusicologist who roamed Africa with his recording equipment. And he served as a sort of 'ambassador' finding himself in the newly independent countries of Africa like Ghana and Guinea, assisting their radio stations.
