It's been a while since I've used my Debian installer last. I need to install three laptops today, so hopefully bringing v-i up to date won't be too big of a job.

The Thinkpad T480 went fine. Apparently I've mostly ported v-i to trixie before. Now I only needed to change it to install gpg for setting up a new APT repository.

I do like UEFI over old school BIOS. For example, UEFI gives me efibootmgr, which means I choose the boot entry to boot to on the next boot ("efibootmgr -n 000C", or similar). I don't have to sit at the laptop or server and type it on the console. SSH to the installed system, or my installer, is more convenient.

Second install also easy and fast, an old Thinkpad X220. Possibly my most favorite laptop to install Debian on, except it doesn't power off USB-C.

Thirds install also fast and easy, another X220. It took a lot of annoying bootloader debugging, and I hated every minute of it, but making an automated batch installer for Debian was totally worth it.
