#MechanicalKeyboards friends, I need your help!
#askFedi_Question_: what do you think about the Bokeh Ambients Silent switches?
I am thinking of buying the Piantor Pro BT from https://www.keebart.com/products/piantor-wireless
_Background_:
1. I had an IBM Model M #keeb for 20+ years
2. I moved to a Filco Majestouch 2 TKL with #Cherry MX Blues
3. I also had a GMMK 1 #MechanicalKeyboard with #Gateron Blues
4. Then I moved to an ErgoDash with #Kailh Whites Box (current daily driver). -

So, I thought about those silent things because they are heavy enough so possibly being not so... "mushy", as I do feel the Red-like/linear switches.
But I really dislike linear switches, so I'm really unsure what to do.
Ideas? Hints?

I went from brown (tactile non-silent) to twilight (linear silent, but “only” 30g) to bokeh (linear 50g silent), as twilight were really too soft for me.
I missed tactile a lot at the beginning, but temporarily put the brown back to compare recently , and I could not stand the noise and the feeling when pushing them! 😅
I’m really impatient for a kailh choc v1 both tactile and silent!
That said I do not regret moving to bokeh, they are very good switches in my opinion.
I would suggest you to buy samples to try out before making a choice for your whole keyboard. This is what I did actually.

@AAMfP I personally like light linear switches. Ambient low profile are imo the best low profile switches and not at all mushy. So recommedation here. BUT I found them to be minor than any Mx style switches when it comes to smoothness. Thats why I find myself using my Mx boards more and more often. Today there are viable (imo not mushy) silent options that feel way better than ambient silents. E.g. Otemu Silent switches, my personal favorites are otemu silent peach (linear).

@AAMfP I f you are more into tactile switches, you could try otemu cream lemon or green banana.

@Seeb
Thanks. Actually I'm a super-clicky guy and I've only moved to White boxed for the sake of my colleagues...
This said, I also usually prefer MX, also for the gazillion types available out there.
But I also feel like it's time to move to a lower profile keeb: mine it's pretty tall due to bamboo and MX and KAM profile.
And the Piantor seems cool.
It's probably time for a switch tester...
