Here's my dog in begging position number three. He cycles through positions, trying ever-so-subtly to get our attention.
Those are my brown butter cookies. I took some other cookies to a neighbor the other day. Her eyes lit up and she said, "are those your brown butter cookies?" They were not. They were another very delicious recipe, but not brown butter. But she put the idea in my head, so I made some brown butter cookies and took her some today, since she was my inspiration.

And then I realized how easy it is to make frangipane. So I started making my own recipes with frangipane. And this year we got a galette des rois from the shop, we each took a bite, and simultaneously said, "huh. Homemade is better."

@jumile yeah, I avoid Snaps and Flatpaks for this reason, among others (though Snap is worse than Flatpak, in my experience...maybe because the packagers are sloppier or maybe because Flatpak has better tools for making sure things are sane).
And, because I avoid Snaps and Flatpaks (and AppImages), Chromium is installed from an RPM. So, that is a very good guess, but not the case here.

@swelljoe That file access problem sounds like the classic sandboxed package issue. Can't recall if it's Snap or AppImage that does it, though.*
Whichever one it is, there's an arcane command - or a GUI/TUI - that can change the access settings for individual packages.
*Sorry, it's been so long since I've used either package type that my memory is rusty. Both make me nope out. 😅

Hey, I'd just like to remind people that they can be nice. You can correct people without being mean. Look over what you've written. If there are words there whose only point is to be bitchy, consider deleting them. You don't have to make someone else feel small to make yourself extra correct or whatever you're trying to do.
[Edit: I took out "actually" from the last sentence because it did serve only bitch. I believe the last phrase can stand because I do want people who do this to think about their goal.]
