@dillyd I love it! It's always fun to get the car washed, we always make it an event in my family

@dillyd
You get to choose a colour if you drive through a carwash???Whereabouts is that!?!?? I never ever heard about something like this, and am getting the feeling now that I have been missing out on this all my life!! 🤭👍
@theVedek @Waitnwallflower
I live in Quebec, and most carwashes have an option, for a couple dollars more, of tricolor soap. I think it's an option in the US, too?Then you can pay even more for the deluxe wax or whatever, but I only go for the color.
My latest carwash place also has a multicolored led light strip on the equipment that moves overhead, which adds even more color. But I've only seen this in one specific carwash, not everywhere.

@MarcusMASTO
That article was interesting in so many ways! Thanks for sharing it.
“My deep and abiding feeling is that if you look at anything closely enough, there will be new riches to be found,” Nagel said.And now I know why the salt stains on the street have more white around the edges! I posted a photo of it last winter but it auto-deleted - my posts delete if I don't favorite them - I'll try to get another photo this year of the phenomenon.

#MagicInTheMundane@dillyd I'm not sure if you *invented* this tag or not, but you're the one who brought it to my attention, and thank you for that 😁 it articulated what I think is kinda my general philosophy in how to appreciate the world, not just in photography, so I'll definitely be using it a LOT (hopefully not overusing it, but realistically probably that too 😅 ) if you can find magic in the ordinary, it opens up SO much more to appreciate, makes life that much richer, especially when there's so much bleakness abounding, offers that much more to counter it ❤️
attaching one I think I posted before, but it probably got buried because I put it behind an alcohol trigger warning, not sure if that was advisable or not -

I'm looking forward to your posts!
The story of the hashtag is that MxBikil posted a gorgeous photo, I commented on its beauty, and they responded that they like finding magic in the mundane, and I said, "that's a great hashtag". So we started using it.

@platypusparent @theVedek @dillyd @Waitnwallflower oh man, we're way too boring here in Germany for that kind of fun 😾
