@blag I’ll add that in some areas (I live in the Midwest) we often call them “koozies” which is a an older brand that were thicker, foam, and not foldable. It became kind of a generic name like “Kleenex”.

@blag I've only ever heard them called "koozies" in the U.S. Like a portmanteau of "cool" and "cozy".

@jledv That terms appears to be quite prevalent in the US, and comes from a brand name according to some other replies here.
