This winter I couldn't use my favorite jacket. Sure, it's old by now and a bit loose (I bought it when I was heavier). But I haven't been able to find it since last summer. The last known location was Ottawa, in the sense that I had taken it to BSDCan but didn't end up using it. It packs down nicely in a backpack, so it's great for traveling.I spent the whole winter wondering where I might have lost it. Maybe in Ottawa, but that didn't seem likely. I didn't take it to Zagreb. Maybe at my parents' place? But they would have found it. So eventually I came to terms with it: it was gone.A little while ago I opened the wardrobe to look for a shirt to wear tomorrow and... there it was, hanging among the shirts (I have no idea why), clean and smelling fresh. My wife knows nothing about it. I'm starting to think the ghost of the previous owner is still wandering around this house. Or, more simply, sometimes I just have my head in "the clouds" 😆
