@MacNaBracha I have a backyard, and we get here kites, doves, owls, seaguls, black birds, swallows and more. So I get garden noise, and it's lovely. I think maybe the sparrows up there in Scotland don't put on the same show they do down here in Portugal. I notice they get quieter on colder days maybe to conserve energy. So maybe for you folks up there they are no problem at all. Down here, they don't chirp, they screech loudly from dawn to dusk, non stop, the chicks are even worse, for months.
