@dillyd @Broadfork While everyone thinks I have a green thumb, it's not without disappointment. I've killed as many seeds and trees as I've grown. When my wife and I used to walk in spring in the city (warmer in May) they had paths through green spaces in each cul-de-sac, the shortcut to school for the kids.On public paths, city maintained, they put fences against the private properties on each side, keeping travellers off private lawns. The bushes and plants grow through, over and under, and I take my pruning shears, some extra large zip lock bags with a wad of wet paper towel at the bottom, and I take samples home to grow, of everything. I've not yet had luck with Rhododendron or Magnolia but I'm still trying both. I'll buy a Magnolia tree this year, I won't live long enough to see the flowers from a cutting.
