Goodmorning lovely Fedi people Heads-up: if you use gurk-rs, a Signal client for the terminal, you should update it to either the commit done an hour ago or to version 0.8.1 once it is out. Note to future self:When installing #HardenedBSD / #FreeBSD on a Dell R6515 (or comparable machine) it isn't enough to put the disks in non-RAID, the controller (H330 in this case) needs to be put into HBA mode as well.Also: disable x2APIC because it is a complete clusterfuck.

We love having such an amazing community and were looking forward to meeting you once again at the Late 25 edition of BSD-NL.Unfortunately, we have to postpone this edition. We did not get enough ticket orders in to make it viable. Reflecting back, this was mainly our fault. We announced this edition way too late. Plus, there are other events at the same day, which is less than ideal.
