The wooden knob kept coming loose, and while I could have epoxied it on, I didn't like that idea. If the knob ever needed replacement, I'd have to heat it up to get it off.So instead, this morning, I forged a new knob from 12mm square mild steel bar. It is flush riveted on via a tenon on the knob, and a countersink on the hole on the back of the locking bar.#blacksmith #metalwork
