@Maker_of_Things I did this a couple years ago.I had to backup app by app. I used several apps from f-droid.:Localsend to send files to PC.https://f-droid.org/es/packages/org.localsend.localsend_app/AppListBackup to have a list of every apps (you get a html file with all the apps).https://f-droid.org/es/packages/org.androidlabs.applistbackup/Most of the apps had their backup option but with SMS I had to use "SMS Import / Export" to save SMS and call log.https://f-droid.org/es/packages/com.github.tmo1.sms_ie/

@dosUhm, I'd say I'm about at 5 years or maybe 6. Basically I replace them when the battery dies or I can't charge them or they last only 3-4 hours, or things like these.@janvlug
