@elliek The heat is not as high here at 5000' as many places lower or farther west. Still cool enough overnight to open windows to cool the house for the day. (I don't have one of those fancy systems with a switch between heating and cooling.)Probably worse is the drought. For the second time this year I had to run the irrigation pump for days to keep the trees and shrubs around the house alive.Last measurable precipitation here was 0.15" on January 25th; total for the year is 0.36"!
My OC, Riamidea, walking her sister's pet wyverns. I love these little guys, maybe I will make some traditional doodles with the wyvers soon :D#art #mastoart #fediart #wyvern #snow
About a decade ago we got a snowstorm every Wednesday. This year it's every Monday, apparently, but so far less snow each time. Roasting potatoes and doing other bits of storm prep just in case. It's forecast to be windy. Here's what 2015 looked like with two of my late, beloved boys in the compound (safely enclosed by deer fence).#CatsOfMastodon #DogsOfMastodon #Snow
@jerzone I just see concave vs convex. I grew up without glasses, though I needed them, so I learned other 'cues' Mostly it works. When I finally got glasses, OMG HAIR IS MADE OF STRANDS! I still find this amazing, by the way.
