@eWalthert I just reflect on it all and wonder how we collectively ended up with this model when so many better alternatives are out there. The endless tracking, data harvesting, and now extreme scraping of content is making it harder and harder to use. As illustrated by that poignant cartoon. I appreciate that Ghostery shows no issues on the mastodon page, and we need more sites to do the same — I think bl.ag's 'score' is something like 3 or 4 so I'll need to figure out how to get that down.
