River Curves
A storm forecast, our flight cancelled. If it hadn't been, we would never have seen this serene scene.
Following the swift river upstream, we paused where the early light kissing the clouds was reflected in the icy waters.
Facing south; dawn at 10:30am in mid-November over Núpufellshnjúkur in Eyjafjarðarsveit, north-eastern #Iceland.
Zoom in to view this at 100% if you can, it's very detailed.

Thank you, Eye! 😊
It was a lucky coincidence. We had to drive from Akureyri in the north to Reykjavik in the south-west in the snow to reach our hotel for that night because the flight couldn't leave. It was a nasty storm, strong winds and blowing snow! -
