@Viss Wow… I figured that might be the case, but nonetheless it’s weird to me. See the outside temperature here three years and a couple weeks ago. That’s not how it is all the time, but it typically gets below -20 at least once each winter here.

@thomasareed this part of the country is built expecting a specific temp window, and when the temp gets outside of that window shit goes bad fast. its all a bit weenie, given how bad other places have it, but other places probably expect the sorta weather they get most of the time and are prepared
@Viss Yup, we’re all discombobulated here due to having temps in the 40s in January, because it’s way too warm and the skiing sucks. Plus low snow cover is going to be a bitch this summer. Gonna be a bad fire season here, I fear. Different expectations.

@Viss ah dang. Maybe next time. We have some folks here who’ve never been to Vegas before and I tried to bring them to the strip to check it out. Then someone set up a reservation at the tiki bar and there I went!

@cobweb its possible! at present there is nothing on the radar, but nearly every customer we speak with "needs SOMEONE", so its good to know folks who need the work.
conversely, if you know shops that could use some security architecture, consulting, advisory, vciso type work, definitely let me know! every engagement we do results in 'remediation guidance', which in many cases involves pointing out how to build a soc or a blueteam

Ho acquistato un notebook usato a un ottimo prezzo. Ci ho aggiunto una seconda unità disco SSD da 512 GB per installarci Linux #debian da una chiavetta USB, ma non è stato il mio giorno fortunato.
Domani formatterò di nuovo la penna USB, la renderò avviabile e proverò di nuovo l'installazione.
Con #Linux ci vuole pazienza.

@nemeciii Trump's response to this is, of course, going to be to threaten Denmark and demand that they not do it, which is just going to encourage others to follow Denmark's lead.
The U.S. economy crashing is in my opinion the only thing that has any chance of propelling Trump out of office, so the sooner it happens the better.
I've already pulled nearly all my money out of the stock market.
