I was very seriously considering chopping an inch or two off the legs of my desk, because it's too tall for any of my chairs and my arms are at a weird angle that's bad for my arthritis and encourages RSI and CTS.

Like, so close, I had dug my marking gauge and flush cut saw out and was starting to move stuff.
But, then I thought I should check to see if I can get taller casters for the chair, first...turns out I can get 1.5" extra height from 3" roller blade casters for under twenty bucks.

A keyboard/mouse shelf would probably also do the job, but that'd be hard to install on this weird-ass old desk, which as a big fat edge all around. The simple keyboard shelf I've always used simply won't fit it.
I still might end up chopping off an inch or so, if the taller casters don't solve it.
