So... Theoretically.. Could I use this image as a background image for my livestream when it's offline? By the magic of custom CSS?
Right now when you go to https://live.jenniegyllblad.com it's just my offline message and nothing else.

@JenJen background-image should do the trick: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Reference/Properties/background-image
The hardest part will probably be to work out where to store the file and get the URL right. -

@oblomov @brunogirin I tried copy pasting some simple CSS things (I know nothing about CSS), and it didn't work
-- And then I noticed it actually didn't support CSS - It was just supporting "Markdown syntax" - So a background image may have to wait! -

il problema della poesia è che non è un linguaggio a cui siamo (più) abituati: a parte studiarla a scuola per dovere, non è una realtà in cui siamo costantemente immersi.
È un po' come ascoltare una lingua a cui non siamo abituati...
Una cosa importante per capire la poesia è che in effetti è musica. Nasce come musica e diventa parola scritta (letta non a voce alta) solo in tempi recenti.
La capacità del poeta, credo, deve essere quella di usare i (non)versi e le parole e la combinazione di (non) versi e parole per evocare esattamente la sensazione che vuole esprimere, creando una musica, delle immagini, una risonanza interiore con coloro a cui si rivolge senza avere a disposizione immagini o suoni, soltanto la parola scritta.
La poesia non è mai completa fin che non viene ascoltata o letta da qualcuno, il poeta fa la sua parte creando, ma la persona a cui la poesia arriva a sua volta fa la sua parte creativa immaginando.
Per come la intendo io la parola poetica è magica, ha il potere di dare forma alle cose senza nessun altro strumento che se stessa.
E non solo: ogni immagine creata esiste soltanto nell'intima comprensione di chi legge ed è necessariamente differente per ogni singolo lettore, ognuno con delle diverse corde interiori da toccare.
Nel tempo, il verso tramandato di persona in persona e di pagina in pagina diventa un caleidoscopio, un prisma che si rifrange in sfaccettature sempre nuove, frammenti di assoluta irrealtà che diventa reale nel momento in cui incontra qualcuno che legge e concepisce, leggendo, la sua personale poesia.
