Don’t think these were a thing in the UK, but my memory only extends to going to the off license with my dad as a kid in the 80’s.

Our local brewery at the time was called Badger Beer (still going) and it has my favourite two animal names for beers: Fursty Ferret and Blandford Fly (the latter was named for the bane of our lives every summer - a very nasty local fly whose bites left huge painful swollen welts on your legs).
