@latsss both of us are refusing to arm people resisting a genocide.

@latsss both of us are refusing to arm people resisting a genocide. The only difference is that your refusal to arm Palestinians comes from the adoption of the western geopolitical agenda, my refusal to arm ANY people and see a weapon giveaway as solution to conflicts comes from social studies, Christian and humanitarian principies, knowledge of the UN charter and personal persuasion about the power of humans to find agreement before and not after killing themselves.

I'm a Ukrainian who happened to live on donbas. I spend a lion's share of my time and salary volunteering for AFU. Some of my closest ones have already lost their towns and houses to the russian invaders.
Tell me more about coaches, you seem to be an expert. -

Tell me more about coaches, you seem to be an expert.@latsss then if you are putting your life at risk against an injustice, which deserves respect, after years of military standoff you have one more reason to listen to Ukrainians that share your same desire for life and peace and freedom, but they think at the same time that more weapons wonât make reality this desire. From a perspective that considers human life as a non-negotiable priority, the important thing now is stopping the loss of people regardless the loss of land.

Look at what happened in Bucha, and Irpin where russians has entered without much resistance. Find any materials about what was going on in Kherson during the occupation. Research how russians are "reeducating" children in occupied southern Ukraine or torturing journalists to deathThe problem is russians are not here to ensure human rights. They started this war to erase us as a nation, they continue doing so, and the only thing that prevents them is AFU.

@latsss the problem is Putin and its government, the war was started by Putin and its government, and no armed force can overcome the resources of Putin and his best allied Donald, that humiliated Ukraine and his head of government.

That's the tip of the iceberg. russians are still holding to their imperial identity and times when they were the core of the empire. Moreover that's not the first time they are trying to erase either us or our identity. But enough of that.You suggesting us to give up just because you think that russia have the unlimited resources.
As I said: check on Buchaand Irpin massacres and Kherson occupation. There are clear examples of what can happen. Until that I see no reason to continue -

If you love freedom your enemy are not other people, but the arrmies, the warmongers, the interests and the cynical evil of dangerous minorities. Imperialism must be stopped also because it claimed too many soldiers lives, also russian. Your discourse could be subscribed replacing "russians" with "russian military and economic elites", an I would add also ukrainian elites making profits with war.

> "Russians" means nothing, is a stereotype.Depending on context it can either identity, or citizenship. Both groups contributed a lot to me being bombed rn. One - financially or by joining rus. army, another - ideologically or/and whitewashing the first one.
> Ukrainian elites
Here you're better go educate/fuck yourself. Which one - depends on whether you're not aware or just spreading russian propaganda.
Have a good one. -

Have a good one.@latsss if you like binary choices I have one for you: you can provide evidence that Politico, BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian and Le Monde are participating in the same russian propaganda scheme or take back your second option for me and implement it on yourself.

@gubi
You mean the one, where anti-corruption institution here did their job and busted a major scheme? That's unfortunate that the scheme existed, but it's no more.Do we have corruption here? Yes, unfortunately. Is it worse then in Europe/USA? I don't think so
Does they steal money because of the war? I'd say it's rather despite the war, but it's being addressed because of civil society functioning, that not many countries cat brag about.1/2

@gubi
But I assume your point was like "Ukrainian elites does not want to end the war, because that's how they make money" which IS a russian propaganda.I already said what happens when russian troops enter any city, and you are insisting on letting them in without fight, because they will do that anyway.

@latsss so russian babies, decent people and families of dead soldiers are "evil enemies" that must be defeated and destroyed, but corrupt ukrainians profiting from war are "good friends" helping in the battle for liberty and justice. You are free to think like this and label people with their passport, but plee respect people thinking that the best way to freedom is to unite decent people against killers and criminals, just like MLK did in the US uniting decent black AND white people.

@latsss your assumptions were wrong, my point is that the force of people if well organized and focused, can be stronger than the force of weapons and wars. This is proven by history and social sciences. These are the ideas and ideals of people opposing Putin, Trump and ALL imperialist wars. You are not obliged to share these ideas, but you should at least respect ukrainian pacifists that were prosecuted by ukranian police for their beliefs AND targeted by russian army for their nationality.

Not exactly: friends and relatives of no matter dead or alive russian soldiers are having Ukrainian blood on their hands. They had the choice and made it.
Russian passport means taxes into russian economy and thus - war machine.
They had enough time to prevent or stop the war. Or at least they could refuse going here and killing us. They just don't care if they or their close ones kill people.I don't consider corrupt Ukrainians to be friends. But they will be dealt with.

@latsss which choice are you talking about? When the target was Chechnya and not you I spoke with the association of soldiersâ mothers, and the recipe to cast a war criminal is easy: you take a young man and you torture him until he will become a dehumanized war machine. Which choice was left to young soldiers that donât want to kill or die? Even your country struggling to embrace European human rights is giving the jail as the only alternative.

@latsss the difference between us is clear: you strongly believe that war is the only path to safety and freedom and self-determination for a people politically colonized by US and then militarily invaded by Russia. I believe the opposite but I must respect different views. My only question for you is: if you are wrong, and Donbass will be lost in any case (so better sooner than later to save human lives) how many years will take for you to admit that your path was wrong?

@latsss another difference is that I oppose to wars and leaders promoting wars with empathy for all people, you hate an entire people with empathy only for your country, but this is also what Putin does. In the end you cannot get rid of all ârussiansâ, whatever this means in a country that once hosted the capital of Russia, and the only solution to this situation is the peaceful coexistence of two people, that you donât get winning an impossible war, but winning a possible peace.
