I have a pet theory that MicroSlop, and maybe other USian companies, love putting PoC in leadership positions when the company is going to do a string of assholic decisions that might damage the public opinion of the company.

Cases in point:

1. Satya trying to force Copilot on the whole world.

2. Bond letting XBox die.

Again, I have no facts, I do NOT believe this... Or do I?

@afreytes Yes, it's a well-known phenomenon.

It reminds me of corporations switching cars to human drivers just before a crash. Political parties choosing women as presidential candidates when the party seems to prefer the other party winning over doing anything its voters want.
