@GossiTheDog this is even better than when Windows of a quite high-profile and well-known guy from Microsoft (we met while traveling to the same conference) started updating 30 seconds before the boarding call at the Helsinki airport :P

For anybody following the saga of my balls, the good news is they don’t think it’s cancer. I have highly unusual balls I’m told, where there’s about 15 small developmental cysts on each that are just chilling and have probably been there a long time (from fetal growth).
Also don’t be afraid of getting your balls checked out, I had three ultrasounds and all were painless and not embarrassing. I have a ton of funny stories too, eg the Windows ultrasound box rebooting for security updates mid scan

@GossiTheDog As a consequence of IBS, I can get fluid build up around the sack.
First time this flared up (and unaware of the cause), so I went to A&E.
I had the experience where a 6"4 male nurse was wincing while the doctor (one of the most beautiful people Ive ever met) was explaining to her colleague (in French I was abroad unbeknownst I could follow) how unimportant and insignificant my testes were and how it wasnt worthy of her time.

Thanks for reminding me of precautious examinations! Health insurance surely is not only "nice to have". -

@GossiTheDog Thats normal for tech-people to have machines in front oft them randomly reboot, right?
Because I'm always glad to hear others report this, too.
(And hi, local supermarket, your Cent OS 7 is slightly outdated 🙈) -

@GossiTheDog went through a similar thing, turned out I had a varicocele so all good in the end but it's not nice waiting for an answer

@GossiTheDog oh wow. I too have weird balls! I've had this weird cyst since, idk, high school. Huge cancer scare but now it's just a thing.

@GossiTheDog I don't know what I initially expected after the first 8 words but I appreciate the candor.

@GossiTheDog "unusual balls" is a great online handle and/or punk rock band name.
(wishes of stable, healthy balls your way)
@faraiwe Sounds like something to definitely add to your LinkedIn profile.

Somehow Kevin's Balls causing Windows to reboot wasn't on my 2026 Infosec Bingo card.
Might be worth adding to your CV or at least on your LinkedIn profile 😁

@GossiTheDog lol, I sincerely hope that someone includes the "highly unusual balls" quote in your many-decades-from-now obituary. Cracked me up.

(And hi, local supermarket, your Cent OS 7 is slightly outdated 🙈)@sigi714 @GossiTheDog that and every single computer you own has to have a broken and configuration that would make anyone from tech support run for the hills.

@GossiTheDog I so hope that there's threat intel companies that automatically channel your Toots straight into their paid-for news feeds without human moderation.

@GossiTheDog their MSP deserves some shade too for cheaping out and not deploying LTSC on those machines.
But there's never a moment when such an exclamation isn't appropriate!
