You haven’t lived til you’ve seen an ultrasound doctor do this while scanning your bollocks
@GossiTheDog their MSP deserves some shade too for cheaping out and not deploying LTSC on those machines.
But there's never a moment when such an exclamation isn't appropriate!

For anybody following the saga of my balls, the good news is they don’t think it’s cancer. I have highly unusual balls I’m told, where there’s about 15 small developmental cysts on each that are just chilling and have probably been there a long time (from fetal growth).
Also don’t be afraid of getting your balls checked out, I had three ultrasounds and all were painless and not embarrassing. I have a ton of funny stories too, eg the Windows ultrasound box rebooting for security updates mid scan
that's good news!
🎉 thanks for sharing this. nobody should ever feel embarrassed or shy about getting screened. Doctors don't view "private parts" as different from any other body part. That's why they're called doctors!

@GossiTheDog My balls are also fine, I was recently happy to learn. Hoping the hydrocele resolves on its own, if not I guess I just have one bigger, squishy ball from now on. Not uncomfortable, so it's whatever.
Thank you for helping to create a supportive environment to discuss boy parts issues.

Hah! Glad your scan was okay, obvs.
Regarding computer kit in hospitals, years ago I had, as part of a a drug trial, my eye-movements, or saccades (sp?) measured. This was in 2008. They used an ancient MS-DOS machine because apparently it was the only way to get perfect timings with NO other processes running on the machine.

@GossiTheDog I have had my balls checked out and can confirm it is not a big deal. I have discovered a minor varicocele case a while ago. Nothing to be worried about. everybody should have their balls checked out every once in a while.
-
@GossiTheDog oh wow. I too have weird balls! I've had this weird cyst since, idk, high school. Huge cancer scare but now it's just a thing.
@neurobashing @GossiTheDog Similar here! I briefly had 3 balls, which is a line to use once in a while when everyone is a few beers into the evening...

@GossiTheDog Aww, you have all the fun.
I just had them failing to find anything on the main bodies of my testes, because indeed there wasn't, with final diagnosis being "yeah, there's something non-malignant on the epidydimus of that one, no blood flow, so not cancerous, just keep an eye on it".

@GossiTheDog maybe that’s why the spider was checking them out. Just making sure your cysts were doing okay

@GossiTheDog when my wife had an ultrasound check in Maternity the box was running Windows XP (in 2016) and complaining of SMART errors on boot, which was nice to see -

@GossiTheDog "For anybody following the saga of my balls" is an excellent opener to a conversation and I can't wait to try it out at a future dinner party.
-
@GossiTheDog "unusual balls" is a great online handle and/or punk rock band name.
(wishes of stable, healthy balls your way)
@GossiTheDog in retrospect, added: "Saga Of My Balls" is an EXCELLENT title for memoirs.
Make it happen.

@GossiTheDog
Glad it's not cancer! And thank you, not enough people talk about their testicle health and that can be a real problem.

@DamonHD when I arrived at my first unit after boot and training and stuff, everyone was having a makeshift funeral, bc one of the NCOs was having his 3rd ball forcibly removed. The Marines do not tolerate having extra teeth (they will pull your wisdom teeth at the drop of a hat) or extra testicles

@GossiTheDog I was not quite ready to read this specific sentence as the introduction to a toot today.
I half-expected it to be related to medical transition, to be fair
