First time trying Ampersand Gessobord. First off, it doesn't have enough texture for pastel (and they don't claim to do). So I mixed water mixable oil and gesso for the underpainting. The texture, the "feel" is very different from paper. Definitely an interesting experiment!

Another disclaimer: If you are outside the US, your government may charge you the “Landing Cost” which I cannot cover on my side. This seems to be a common practice in Europe, and I had one buyer complain about it… With the stupid tariff thing ongoing, who knows what else gets charged, even though I am mailing this as a gift. Disclaimer: All of them are unframed, and pastel paintings do need to be framed under glass to display. If you don’t want to pay for the cost, you may not want to enter. You can do it yourself though. All you need is a frame and a mat. Matting is strongly encouraged because it acts as a spacer between the art and glass. If you go to a framer, they will cut you a mat in your specification. 4/🧵
