@HI_Greens The important thing about this program is not to be European but to be free and for everyone accessible under a FLOSS license (Even the British should have access to it 😝). And there exist already various such free video call apps. Furthermore, I couldn‘t find the „Open Source“ license applicable to Visio (EDIT: Thx for writing it below- MIT).

@HI_Greens @woody the french state has another option for larger meetings and webinars though, it's called "Webinaire de l'État" and is based on #BigBlueButton and says it supports up to 350 people, as opposed to only 150 for Visio.

@woody We haven't tried it out yet, we just found out about the French gov't's plans today.
One of us tried out a conference platform called BlueJeans, which came out at the same time as Zoom and had vastly better sound, but it did not survive as far as she knows.
