Side note: I am so incredibly embarrassed to be a U.S. citizen right now - and I extend and express my apologies to the entire world for what the Trump regime is doing.
We are doing our best to combat these heinous and corrupt individuals aside from an all-out civil war.

@adwright ICE acts like it is trying to make their letters stand for: Incredibly Crappy Enforcement. It's like a whole bunch of people so poorly trained at law enforcement, they kill people because, they don't know that when the wheels of a vehicle are turned away from them, they are no longer in danger. In their mind, if a vehicle was ever pointed at them, it's OK to kill them when they are driving away. This is the kind of law enforcement you get when you elect a draft dodger for President!

I should probably point out that many people here in Canada fucking *hate* the very idea of this kind of equitable multiculturalism. The idea that arepas and poutine are both fully and equally Canadian sounds like hell to them. This is not unusual anywhere, I don't think.

@Sigmundkapje @surethingwhitey of course, it'd be foolish to ignore the fact that Trump and Republicans expanded ICE and DHS (the most overtly fascist paramilitary institutions in the US from the beginning) funding to be larger than pretty much every military on earth other than our own. He wanted an army of loyalists to make sure he never has to face consequences for anything he does, and the real military has previously balked at illegal actions like what ICE is currently doing.

@Sigmundkapje @surethingwhitey it's unlikely without an open civil war. States run elections, not the federal government. So, he could interfere with elections in very red states with complicit legislatures, but it's the swing states and blue states he needs to interfere with, and those seem unlikely to go along quietly. Which is why he's trying to interfere and manipulate in other ways. They're currently trying to extort access to voter data in Minnesota under threat of continued occupation.
