In 2012, I bought a Logitech Performance MX. It was my first wireless mouse. My first expensive mouse. I was really happy with my purchase. It held its charge for a long time. It was heavy but easy to move around, it was sturdy, its arch design perfectly fit in my hand, and I immediately fell in love with that famous “free-spinning” scroll wheel.5 years later, it was starting to show its age: it still worked but it had basically become a wired mouse, the battery had run its course. Most annoyingly, the right click was not reliable anymore; it would misclick quite often and that became quite frustrating. So I bought its replacement, the Logitech MX Master. Basically the same mouse, just new 🙂 And now, after 7 years, it’s time for a new mouse. The plastic on the MX Master’s thumb button is dead, and ended up cracking so the button stays actuated. Guess what mouse I got? The same, but new: say hello to the Logitech MX Master 3S 🙂The 3 Logitech mice I’ve owned in the past 12 years: Performance MX, MX Master, MX Master 3SHopefully this one will last me about as long as the others! 5 to 7 years for a tool I use every day for at least 8 hours, that’s not too bad!
