The ad by the Govt. of Ontario faithfully used Reagan's words from 1987:
"You see, at first, when someone says, ``Let's impose tariffs on foreign imports,'' it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while it works -- but only for a short time. What eventually occurs is: ... Pretty interesting article about a lot of wrong pop data.
I found it interesting that the author mentions Sweden is so advanced they don't run censuses, as if that's unusual, but I think that's the norm in Europe?
E.g. Italy has not run a real population census in as long as I can remember either, just permanent statistical ones (basically polls).
I was super surprised when I experienced a real one in Hungary.

@marzlberger @justine @alelab I can see this. I've just disabled the public disclosure of external messages. I mean: you can't see external instances' posts using the BSD Cafe server if you're not logged in. This because I've seen some bad contents (posts without CWs, porn, illegal stuff) being served by the BSD Cafe (not by BSD Cafe users) and publicly available. I'll make a public post about this.
