So search has gotten way worse. In 2022/23 I got really into the idea of making my own frikandel. And I remember finding this site that detailed the requirements of frikandellen for a frikandellen eating contest, including length and diameter

Yesterday I tried to find this same information again but try as I might, across duckduckgo *and* Google, I just could not find it again and had to give up

So yeah, i wasn't imagining it, it's just worse. I can't find things anymore

@eniko have people gotten on trying to make like community or custom indexes for things yet? kinda like phonebook for simple fulltext search or similar instead of relying tremendous company's crawlers to do everything for us

@eniko Did you see that they now have actual proof of Google actively making search worse so they get more opportunities to show adds (as one have to make more searches to find the same thing).
I think it was found in an email conversation deposited at a court case in US somewhere.
