@mos_8502 there’s a guy on fiverr that will do it for 60 dollars, I’ve used him before and it was great. Want me to find his name? -

@mos_8502 Maybe something on https://www.hvsc.c64.org/ can help? I used to watch the c64radio stream sometimes on twitch but it's been offline for a while, it was sourcing the music there.

attached is what I had him make for me. I specifically requested the actual SID file and he provided that as well. -

I don't have experience with c64 specifically. I've composed a lot of tracker music, some of it for the gameboy, so I have some experience with 8 bit consoles with many limitations. If you're interested in working with someone interested in the stuff you're working on and eager to learn, I'd be glad to give this a go.
Just to be clear, I'm offering this not as paid work. Music is my hobby, and this sounds like an interesting and fun challenge. -

Totally understand if you'd rather pay someone already experienced with c64 music, I'm sure it'll be simpler, but if you're interested at all, here's an album of my tracker music (some of it is Gameboy):
https://eladhen.bandcamp.com/album/the-beast-of-untameable-hope-a-work-in-progressAnd here are some soundtraks I've written for my ttrpg podcast (most of the later pieces are tracker music):

There seems to be a bunch of "Goattrackers" around. Can you point me to a source?"Battle of the Bits" points to a broken official website...

Give me a direction for a theme music and I'll hack at it. Any limitations? length? style? -

Give me a direction for a theme music and I'll hack at it. Any limitations? length? style?@eladhen Aside from the inherent limitations of the SID, the final output binary must fit in 3KB of memory. Give a listen to the soundtracks for The Legend of Zelda, Neutopia, Crusader of Centy, for inspiration. It's a fantasy 2d action RPG.

more "zelda cave theme" or "zelda overworld"? (not that I can do anything as good — but directionwise) -

Just some fiddling in the direction of a cave theme. I'm still trying to understand the SID options.
