Hive mind: Why do we put stickers on apples? It has to be more expensive than not to. It serves no purpose conceivable to me. It’s annoying to everyone I know. There has to be some perverse “number go up” incentive, right? Right?!

@MichalBryxi for identification at the register, we could laser mark them instead but crazy people really don't like that idea -

@stefano mastodon, on average, is as toxic as other platforms as Bluesky and X. I stay here just because it is easier to find real people instead of bots (yes, Bluesky is also plagued with bots), plus it is a really distributed network instead of a closed one (X) or a pretending to be open (Bluesky).
