When I found out that there are colored strings I had to try them (I had black, white and pink)😃

...Another bassist here, with colored strings. My choice of brand was Strings by Aurora, as I liked their color selection, they seemed to have strings for longer necks than the ones I found on random online shops, and their web shop service was really friendly and helpful. Managed to order mine last year just before the tariff-countertariff-things went crazy.

@hpod16 I used to play the bass and the drums. I "retired" (still have them but don't play since I no longer have a band and can't motivate myself without, so changed hobbies), but I'm still curious about all things music. So... hi, I guess. And welcome to Mastodon. :)

1974 Ovation Magnum bass in its case on the floor of the band practice room. I have it strung B-E-A-D so it gets real low and probably stimulates vibe glands or something.
Long ago, a friend told me it was ugly. I was genuinely offended.

@sAshA8H yes that’s a short scale.
I bought a normal scale first but when I tried another lady’s short scale everything changed. I decided that probably normal bass guitars are designed for big man-hands and I should embrace my small but dexterous lady fingers, and just get a short scale (and then I found one in my colour, and I was sold. Or rather the bass was sold. To me.)@hpod16 I usually play long-scale basses, but I found out, that playing a Rickenbacker body shape feels much more comfortable for me, than a Fender body shape. I'm also a small person with small hands and short fingers.
But for some time now, I've been toying with the idea of switching to a short-scale. And playing a short-scale is so damn easy. My fingers just fly over the strings :-)

@hpod16 I played drums for over a decade when I was younger. Still can hear primarily drums in songs too and know where they're hitting/timing, lol.

Per chi utilizza Linux ed ha bisogno di un editor pdf esiste Master Pdf Editor. Software molto professionale, a pagamento. Se usate molto i pdf lo consiglio.
Se ne fate un uso sporadico, la vecchia versione 4 (ora siamo alla 5) è ancora "gratis per uso personale". Chiaramente ha qualcosa in meno rispetto alla 5, ma se appunto non fate cose sofisticate....
Dal sito ufficiale code-industry.net non si trova, ma potete trovare qui i deb dell'ultima versione usabile gratis per usi non commarciali
Il deb sul mio portatilino 13" con mint funziona benissimo.

@evan Yes, but only for federal matters (assuming a government with local/provincial/federal splits) and, as a matter of taste, only if you plan to return or for your family to return.
If you haven't got a stake in that country's future (and will not feel the effects of its policies) I do not think you _should_ vote, but given that's unenforceable, then I think you should _be allowed_ to.

@evan Yes, but not on local elections if you've been away for a long time. Another but: That there's some balance between the voting rights of expatriate citizens and people living in my country without citizenship (many of whom currently can't vote, but have lived here longer than some expatriate citizens and have a higher stake in what happens to the country).
