I'm not sure if I should be worried about what my fridge-freezer's temperatures are doing.
It peaks at about 6C, bottoms out at 1C, and averages at about 4.4C.
The freezer has massive temperature cycles, minimum -25C, maximum -3C, averaging at about -13.4C.Meanwhile the garage freezer sits at -15C +/- about 1C at most.

@philpem At a guess, your fridge-freezer is "frost free" and your garage freezer isn't.
The "frost free" ones blow (relatively) warm air around on a cycle in order to melt and evaporate frost, then go back to cooling before anything's ruined.
(Is the theory: I had to send a Fridgemaster back 'cos it failed at the last part and kept melting stuff in the freezer...)

@ghalfacree It's a Beko CDA543F - which is indeed frost-free. The thing that gets me is how harsh the temperature swings are. At some points I get an ice cream bar out and it's rock hard, at others it's about to melt.
With all that said, I've never had to defrost it... -

The new fridge/freezer is a Hoover, of all brands to stick on one - and it's much better, swinging from -21 to -13°C on the freezer side during an automatic defrost cycle. No more melted lollies!
