probably should have asked what katie wilson’s position on paper straws were prior to spending a large sum of money to hopefully get her elected, but she seems reasonably sane so i am sure she probably hates paper straws too

I am having a tricky time with Ubuntu 24. #wayland sometimes seems to deadlock, possibly AMD driver, possibly a Wayland big I hit because I have so many gnome extensions installed. I don't care why, what I wanna know is can I get to a textmode term? In Ubuntu 20 I used to hit Ctrl+alt+f2 but this does not seem to work, or at least not in this situation . Killing gdm process tree without remorse is also ok-- as it is I have to 10-second-hold the power button.

Watched 28 Years Later. Entertained and occasionally startled and/or grossed out, but not sure how I feel about it.
I know we're suspending disbelief, but there are things that just don't gel with the rules established in the first film. I'm kind of a stickler for internal consistency. The first film remains the only great, or even really good, one in the series, I think.
