What if we started #fediMarried? Bad idea? probably.
I still think there ought to be some kind of introverts matchmaking service. And obviously it couldn't be a paid service as that gets the incentive structure wrong.
I found my husband of 18 years online before "match.com" was totally broken. IDK what I'd do today.
I know 6 people who kind of want to get married but none of them match. Gotta cast a wider net. They are introverts so this will not happen. How many have you got?

Lots of people don't want to get married and that's fine. I just think if people want to find someone they should be able to. Being married can be awesome.

@futurebird I believe the best way to find a partner is to work on things you care deeply about in a community of action. At worst you also get a bunch of great and interesting friends.

@futurebird So I had an idea for this for ages that I would occasionally post and always get a couple boosts and favorites so I finally started making it a thing: @FediMatch

@grabbi_it ti assicuro che il settore del fast food ha un impatto ambientale molto più devastante rispetto al settore dell’AI che ha comunque un impatto non trascurabile. Ma alla gente piace mangiare hamburger scadenti e spegnere il cervello per farsi fare i compiti da un software, quindi forse la parte più rilevante del problema che sollevi è quella culturale/antropologica e non quella tecnologica…

This, I feel is the most fundamental truth about doing work: those without dirty hands are wrong. Doing something makes you right.

At the moment, I'm managing around 50 #MikroTik devices. They're all doing great.
I have more or less other 50 devices to be delivered or "just in case". They can be off for years - I upgrade them, reset to default settings and they're ready to do their job in a reliable way.
Oh, and I also have a watchdog!

I am not a good reference for Mikrotik at the moment.. but it will grow on me.
Maybe my choice is a bit overkill, especially when the wifi reaches everywhere. But the extra access point with a router provides some more flexibility in the home office and hobby space
