@leanderlindahl as a web developer / designer (my WHOLE life) I can attest that simply adding the social media icon for Mastodon on their site would take a few minutes.
10 minutes TOPS if they don't have the icon and need to download it/ tweak it to be compatible with the theme they're using. It'd be such an easy win.
Now, deleting X I can understand how it's a major decision for such a big institution, but adding an icon to the website? Child's play.

@_elena @skribe I'm a dreamer and I picture the commission taking a quick decision to do this on the 23rd having submitted that test balloon. In the spirit of Christmas. Surely this must have been considered already? Imagine the PR win... Immeasurable...

@leanderlindahl see it had not occurred to me (the intern) till @skribe mentioned it. And now I picture them going: "YESSSSS engagement" and then, when they realize the reason, going "NOOOOOO not like that" 😂
