ICE has evidently murdered someone this morning in Minneapolis.
-
Despite the horror of Renee Good's murder, politicians telling ICE to get the fuck out and growing protests, ICE continues to abduct people in and around MPLS.
In this incident I think from today in St Paul Minnesota (not sure of the date OP privated) a family ordered DoorDash only to have their dasher followed to their home by ICE.
The family attempts to protect the woman and call local cops(as instructed by politicians) local cops tell them they will arrested if they don't comply fully 🚨
The above video account of ICE chasing a DoorDash into a customer's home is hear breaking.
The woman filming explains that she is a native a American and for lack of a better word they all sound scared shitless by what happened to Renne Good.
The family had kids in the home and the demand that ICE put down their guns.
The only thing the sheltered Hispanic woman had to threaten these militarzed federal cops with is her tears.

There's a lot of revolutionary joy in the streets of Minneapolis tonight.

Watching live streams, the scene at the entrance to the ICE hotel is noisy af.
The crowd is peaceful but LOUD, they have shown a ton of respect for the hotel security personnel.
Bands and drummers filtered through the crowd to setup shop right in the doorway.
After a bit an ICE cop emerged at the door to stand with security and crowd got a LOT less friendly.
(apologies, my screencap didn't catch audio)

The 2 and half hour long live stream I had been watching just ended abruptly with this as the last frame.
Protesters appear to have been let in a side door and several have filed in.
They encountered two closed (but unclocked doors) and debated entering further.
Some young boys can be heard warning the crowd that their could be ICE cops on the other side setting a trap and most exited. Many others took their place then the streamer ended the stream likely to protect ppl's identities.

When the stream resumed the citizen journalists were outside of the hotel facing off with local MPLS riot cops.
The local cops are now threatening to forcefully disperse the noise protests.
The local cops are now protecting ICE, as predicted.
The crowd is now cursing out the local cops and saying the are supporting ICE too much.

It sounds like the crowd became aware that the local cops were arriving right as the hotel side door was opened.
The vast majority of the crowd felt it was a trap and sounds like the local police did not have to physically remove anyone from the hotel bc the crowd had heads up they were about to get kettled.

The local cops appear to have just completed securing the entrances of the hotel and now are forming a road block to keep demonstrators away from the hotel.
Notably the local cops are armed primarily with knight sticks, pepper balls and other "non-lethals" (they still dangerous tho).
So far I've seen no local cops carrying rifles.

Every so often a snowball is thrown at the cop line.
There is ZERO reaction from these local cops, its as if snow balls and noise demos are not a lethal threat. These cops are clearly on their absolute best behavior, its not much but compared to ICE (and local cops in 2020) these guys appear to be doing their best to not unnecessarily threaten or intimidate the crowd.
It's wild, watching ICE I fully expect everyone to get gassed for them snowballs.

Not long after the police lines were formed the protests resumed marching and is now several blocks away.
The local cops now seems to have to decide between guarding the ICE hotel vs tailing the protesters and it looks like they're gonna stay at the hotel and make sure those evil goons get a quite rest of their night.

Sounds like the protest has dispersed for the night.
From what I saw on streams the protest tonight in Minneapolis was very peaceful with protesters occasionally enganging in civil disobeiance by being loud in hotel lobby's.
Not that protests need to be any of those things to be valid forms of struggle against oppression.

From witness statements on the streams it appears that both state and local cops were on tap to put down the protests and took active steps to encourage the crowd to disperse.
I'm not sure why dispersal was so important. I totally get keeping the crowds out of hotel lobbies but I really think if the Mayor and Governor meant what they say they should not be attempting to disperse a simple noise demo. Even if it goes late.
In fact they should make a point to NOT protect ICE at all anymore.

The situation is clearly already out of control with respect to ICE being told by every level of local governement to leave Senator Amy Klobuchar has joined the chorus as well.
Listen carefully and you'll see that Klobuchar, just like Mayor Frey and Governor Walz is keeping an eye on the tactical situation.
They ALL are aware that their local cops are already out numbered and out gunned by ICE.
They are talking about literal battle when they talk like this.

The crisis facing the US is extremely serious.
A DC cop, Michael Fanone, who was nearly killed at the US Capitol on January 6th says that a couple "F" bombs and foul language from the Mayor and Governor are NOT enough to stop what's coming. Fanone retired from the force after Jan 6 bc he refused to serve with fascists sympathizers.
He predicts that Americans will have to begin excersizing their 2A rights bc strong words are not enough to stop ICE.

Many people might hear J6 cop Fanone's encouragement for folks to embrace their 2A rights and think he's talking about some Rambo shit I really don't think that's what he's talking about.
In this clip a few ICE agents enter a McDs that has a couple armed security.
The gaurds proactively tell ICE to leave.
Throughout the encounter ICE NEVER touches them, speaks in a whisper AND left empty handed.
Unarmed guards would have been cursed at, beat and arrested along with the migrants.

So when noise demos get's dispersed under threat of force from the F bomb dropping Mayor it makes me REALLY question which form of protest would be more effective at actually denting ICE's abduction numbers?
A couple noise demos? Mountains of broken bones, bruises and trauma from tailing ICE around?
Or just passing a lot of laws that make it easier for targeted communities to obtain firearms and CCW licenses and making stand your ground legal against illegal ICE raids

I know the Mayor and Governor would probably say that they HAD to put down the protests bc otherwise these poor hotels, stuck between a rock and a hard place, would have to suffer the direct economic consequences of their windows being vandilaized all the time and local property values dropping from constant protests.
And I'm just like.... THATs actually the Free Market at work.
They need to get the fuck out the way and let these companies face consequences.
There's only worse options.

If we can't even for ONE NIGHT ensure that ICE has an impossible time sleeping and that letting them stay LITERALLY means economic ruin for EVERYONE involved then noise demos simply won't be allowed to even attempt to work.
These stats are staggering. The abductions are basically continuing unabated.
EVERY level of our government's systems are being weaponized to find soft targets to abduct when they are most isolated and we're not able to respond in time.

So anyways, ICE/CBP is playing in everyone's face in light of the threat to deploy National Gaurds against them.
The day after Walz made the threat to call the NG the commander of CBP Gregory Bovino staged a photo op at the Minnesota State Capitol which the right wing has been joking he'll soon be in command of.
I've never in my life seen this type of blatant disregard for the political norms of the US.
This is what Bovino did to mourn Renee Good's death.

"Haven't you learned?"
The ICE goon asked of two women observering him harass someone.
In a viral video from yesterday two women in Minneapolis who were observing ICE/CBP operations from their vehicle had their phone snatched from them. The CBP cop used intimidating references to Renee Good's murder this week alluding to the fact he hoped to find an excuse to shoot them.

There's ALSO a viral videos suggesting that the women were disappeared by ICE.
Thankfully this is NOT true both are home safe today according to the original poster's updates this morning. Mirrored below.
