@fabs they are never enough :)I don't know if you are in N.A., EU or somewhere else. what I have found is 3/4" black pipe with bessy pipe clamps to be most cost effective way. I have pipes from 36" all the way to 5' long. anything smaller, I use F clamps. I love bessy or other parallel clamps but I just can't bring myself to spend $50+ for a 18" clamp when I can buy nice sturdy pipe clamp of much longer length for 2/3rd of that price.

Ta-da!It took me 2 weeks of hard work, but it's finally done!(The frame uses 2 dowels per corner for the joinery. No miter joints because I haven't done it yet and chickened out.)Hopefully my bedroom won't be as cold during this winter. ⛄#Woodworking #DIY

I wrote a new blog post! If you like overly detailed descriptions of very specific problems in building an unnecessarily accurate prop for a cosplay, this is for you. Here's how I came up with my design for the base for my transformable version of Lightning's gunblade from Final Fantasy XIII. https://bikanel.de/gunblade-build-the-base#blog #cosplay #propMaking #FinalFantasy #woodworking

@GustavinoBevilacqua Considering this saw is easily a 100+ years old, how would they have done it?Maybe they had a strong press with a stamping die that simply took brass rods and brute-forced their ends into that shape. Don’t know. The rib is important, though. Without that they’d be near useless.
