Ugh ifaxapp used to be great - you bought credits and used them to send faxes. Basically you could pay by fax. Now you have to "subscribe" and the minimum subscription is 15 USD/mo. Are there any better internet fax options?

@sus literally no one here accepts fax anymore, not even doctors and pharmacies
only thing i know of would be voip.ms

@sus my ISP (Sonic) throws in a FAX line if you request it (via the member tools website). Do you have an indie ISP in your jurisdiction?

@MisterMaker ik wil niet in NL op vakantie, maar dit is wel m'n startpunt, dus ik zal sowieso 1x het land in en uit moeten rijden. Geen idee of dat dan mag, en of je überhaupt een buitenlands kenteken mag registeren als NLse burger.

@Gina Jup, heb gisteren nog allemaal zitten uitzoeken. kwam in Duitsland 90 euro pm goedkoper uit, maar niet naar Nederland op vakantie gaan was voor ons ook een deal breaker. :(

@MisterMaker yeah buying/owning/driving a campervan is ridiculously expensive in NL (just like everything else yay).
I was looking into buying abroad, but I think you can't bring it into the Netherlands then, which sounds challenging.

@wohali @_elena @tommi @mavnn also, I suspect dealing remotely with someone who doesn't speak Italian too well may "attract" extra fees. He may want to take a short term rental (generally more expensive, but lower upfront costs) and then search for longer term rental while in already in Italy, ideally accompanied by someone local. But hopefully the Fediverse has some leads 🤞
