Okay, #godot people, I want to give Godot another try.

Okay, #godot people, I want to give Godot another try. Last time I kinda didn't like the UI and scripting, and looks like UI is better now and scripting... well I either will have to make friends with GDScript or will choose C# or Orchestrator to minimize the damage.
What are good and _actual_ tutorials on Godot in general can you recommend? Not exactly "how to make a whole game" more like "how to make anything in here so it would work". Preferably 2D, 3D is optional.

@0x0961h using the oficial documentation is the best way to learn Godot (and free). Also you can do two projects to understand the engine.

@0x0961h Honestly, there are some great YouTube tutorials, but I would be very interested in the same answer. As someone who thinks very code-first, 2Dog is from one of my mutuals and is the kind of lifesaver I'd been hoping for. But otherwise I have not been able to make heads or tails of Godot with everything so backwards to how my brain works.

@bluestarultor Yeeeeah, me too. Last time I tried, I found out it's a little bit too, I don't know, complicated for the sake of being complicated. I might be a little bit spoiled by Unity since it was my first engine that I used for game projects.
I felt that like in Unity it was pretty easy for me because all you have is, like, GameObject and that's it. But when I later gave Unreal Engine and Godot a try, there was a lot of types of Actors of Nodes and it's... confusing.

@bluestarultor When I use this? When I use that? Why I can't use this in this case? Why I have to use that in that case? How's it different?
So instead of just making a game I have to fight with all the opinionated things that were decided by the engine authors and that's... kinda counterproductive.

@0x0961h See, for me, all of that just feels like strong typing and makes sense. I get far more frustrated in loosely typed languages because I end up having to fight with them. Like, doing banking forms? You would THINK a name would never be a number!
Oh, would you ever think... XD
