So, what do people think of Apple's new Creator Studio?
Do we need yet another subscription service?

@andycarolan NO 🥲 and as I tell my 4-year-old, "no is a full sentence" LOL.
So scared for my darling Pixelmator Pro, which I have been using for years. And I don't dare look to see if now Pages and Numbers are paid apps. Sigh times a million and RIP Aperture while we're at it (I will never forget!)
Time to finally install CryptPad and get into Gimp and Linux alternatives I suppose

Too many things are subscription now… it’s just overwhelming!
I’ve heard that Pages and Numbers are unaffected, although there are extra ‘premium’ features added with the Creator subscription. I got this info from a YouTube video, and am yet to investigate it personally, so might be incorrect.

@cos Thanks, I tried it as reported in the linked issue.

@amoroso it's often a missing library when things like that happen. if you run it from a shell prompt, you might see some messages about why it's not running.

Can you help me troubleshoot a Linux issue?
Have you experienced issues with the Typesetter editor for Typst (or other Flatpak appplications) failing to launch from the desktop menu after logging out and back in? The context is this issue I have on Linux Mint Cinnamon.
