@Tionisla Thank you. It was a semi hidden corner behind a fence - there's an abandoned house over there, so the road is not normally used. That's why all those beautiful leaves are still there. I saw it while walking and decided to bring this image back with me. It wasn't totally easy to frame because of the fence, but I managed to do it.

@mms eheh yes, long autumn - we had 10 degrees today (but -2 last night, it was quite cold). Rain is expected, so temperatures should not be too low (around 3 min 10 max)

@mms this was usually the "I can't see anything because of the fog" season and icy mornings, but the climate has changes and fogs (especially the thick ones) have become quite rare

@hazelnot I'm not convinced that frame tearing allows you to experience the game faster than your monitor's refresh rate, it just lets you randomly experience multiple views of the game from different points in time at your monitor's refresh rate. I haven't seen any research on this, so this is speculation on my part.

@hazelnot turn the settings down and leave vsync on, I mean. that will cause the latency between the CPU and GPU to drop if the CPU work is finishing fast enough to do so.

@aeva if I turn the settings down it just generates even more frames instead, and improving cooling is expensive cause I'd need a new case and/or liquid cooling (or a GPU without a goddamn blower fan which is even more expensive) π

@hazelnot yes, however strictly speaking you also have the option of "turn the graphical settings down", and if your computer is a desktop PC then you theoretically also have the option of "simply improve your computer's cooling and/or hardware specs by some means"
